News: Deadly Premonition director Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro apologises to fan over D4

The director of D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die, Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro, has responded to a question from a Twitter user, who asked why the episodic game D4 was never finished. Swery apologised, saying [sic], ‘THAT WAS MY FAULT. SO I am sorry 10000 times. But I was sick, and I have to left ex-company. Life is sometimes difficult. Life is sometimes tough than you think.’

Back in 2015, Swery took a leave of absence from the D4 and Deadly Premonition developer, Access Games, due to health reasons, before subsequently retiring. After a hiatus of almost two years, and following the advice of close friends and former colleagues, he opened the independent game studio, White Owls Inc., at the beginning of 2017.

White Owls Inc. recently launched a crowdfunding campaign for a new mystery RPG game called The Good Life. The game’s set in the fictional English town of Rainy Woods, where ‘all the town’s residents turn into cats’ at night. A woman has been murdered and everyone in the town is a suspect. The problem is, well, everyone is a cat at night.
